William Cole Porter, 82, 8119 Juniata Valley Pike, Alexandria, died at 6:44 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at his residence in Porter Township.
Born March 23, 1942, in Hesston, at his family farm, he was the son of the late Merle K. and Catherine (Morehead) Porter.
Surviving are his longtime companion, Carol A. Black, at their residence; a grandson, Brock Cameron Porter and his fiancée, Megan McGeary, Hollidaysburg; and a brother, Stewart A. Porter and his wife Dorothy of Alexandria.
He was preceded in death by a son Wade Cameron Porter.
Mr. Porter retired in January 1996 after working for 25 years as a foreman for PennDOT.
William was of the Protestant faith. He enjoyed international traveling and working outside at his house.
He graduated from Huntingdon Area High School and was a lifetime resident of Huntingdon County.
All services will be held privately.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Cutright Funeral Home-Smithfield Chapel, Huntingdon.
