Roy Allen Mundorff

Roy Allen Mundorff, 69, 316 13th Street, Huntingdon, died at 2:09 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025, at his residence.

Born March 12, 1955, in Altoona, he was the son of the late Gilbert F. and Helen (Ferguson) Mundorff.

He is survived by his longtime companion, Diana M. Black of Huntingdon, six siblings, Gilbert F. Mundorff Jr., Penny L. Frew and her husband Frank, Kenneth Mundorff and his wife Edith, Patty Harris and her husband Lynn, Dawn Frew and John Mundorff and his wife Cindy.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Mundorff.

Roy worked tor many years in the maintenance department for the VA Medical Center in Altoona.

Roy loved making wooden furniture and was an avid reader.

He attended Altoona Area schools. He graduated from Williamsport Area Community College with a welding degree.

Roy served in the United States Army, from Jan. 4, 1974, to Jan. 3, 1980, where he served as a machinist with the 153rd Aviation Co., 101st Airborne Division. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Aircraft Crewman Badge.

He was a lifetime resident of Huntingdon County and had lived at his Huntingdon address for the past 12 years.

All services will be held privately. Private interment will be made in Donation Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Cutright Funeral Home — Smithfield Chapel, 313 Fairgrounds Road, Huntingdon.
