Olive G. Hurley, 89, Huntingdon, passed away peacefully in her sleep at 4:50 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024.
Born Jan. 16, 1935, in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of the late James Bruce and Emma (Barkley) Culbertson. She married Wesley Hurley June 18, 1954 at the Wesley Chapel Church, Petersburg. He preceded her in death April 15, 1993.
She is survived by two children, Steven Hurley and his companion Sharon Cresswell of Donation and Jeffrey Hurley and his wife Kathy of Hartslog Valley; four grandchildren, Nicholas Hurley and his wife Jessica of Pittsburgh, Staci Ryan and her husband Beau of Port Matilda, Wesley Hurley of Georgia and Amanda Hurley of Florida; four great-grandchildren, Jackson Ryan, James Ryan, Beau Ryan and Liam Ledbetter; and; four siblings, Alice lsett of Huntingdon, Dorothy Whitsel of Fairfield, Russell Culbertson of Huntingdon and Scott Culbertson and his wife Rita of State College; sister-in-law Nancy Culbertson of Huntingdon; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four siblings, James Culbertson, Fred Culbertson, Ralph Culbertson and Robert Culbertson.
She retired in 2000 after working for 20 years as a laborer at the former Mead Products in Alexandria. Prior to Mead, she worked at Arrow Shirt Factory.
Olive was of the Methodist faith. Family was everything to her to Olive. She was once asked, “what decades were the best years of your life?” She said, “All of them. I’ve had a great life. I never understood families that fight with their kids. Family is the most important thing in life.” She refurbished lamps and enjoyed collecting antiques and going to flea markets.
She was a lifetime resident of Huntingdon County.
All services will be held privately with the Rev. Art Speck officiating. Private interment will be made in the Donation Cemetery, Huntingdon.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Cutright Funeral Homes, 313 Fairgrounds Road, Huntingdon.
