Naomi Ross, 92, of Alexandria, died Monday, May 4, 2026, at Celebration Villa, Altoona.
She had been in failing health for the last couple of years.
Nomi, as she was known to friends and family, was born July 4, 1933, to Chester and Madeline McCarty. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister, Chet and Mary Ellen, and is survived by a sister, Helen McCarty, Huntingdon.
She was united in marriage to Marshall Ross Sr. March 1, 1953. Mr. Ross preceded her in death Nov. 28, 2024. Naomi is survived by two sons, Marshall Jr. (Kim) and Jeff (Cindy).
Nomi was an accomplished seamstress, making numerous quilts by hand and embellishing sweatshirts and jackets with quilted appliques.
Nomi was a very loving person and always had a hug for people. She loved her family dearly and would do anything for anybody.
After their retirement, Marshall and Nomi enjoyed numerous bus trips with a group of friends, traveling to many destinations in the United States.
Nomi will be remembered for her kindhearted ways and her loving nature, and she will be greatly missed.
Services are under the direction of Cutright Funeral Home—Smithfield Chapel, 313 Fairgrounds Road, Huntingdon, and will be private.
