Kenneth Lee “Kenny” Knode, 35, Huntingdon, died at 11:58 a.m. Monday, Nov. 6, 2023, at his residence after a long courageous battle with kidney disease due to life long diabetes.
Born July 25, 1988, in Lexington, Nebraska, he was the son of the late Kenneth Freeman Knode and Julie A. (Whitley) Kuhn of Huntingdon.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his four siblings, David Whitley and Claudine Lash of Broken Bow, Nebraska, Lisa (Reily) Reahm, Huntingdon, Robert Thompson and his fiancé Krista Rupert, Alexandria, and Jacob Knode and his wife Billee, Millersburg; four nieces, Gabrielle Whitley, Samatha Reahm, Jamie Reahm and Natalee Knode; and two nephews, Hunter Rupert and Parker Rupert.
Special extended family, Jeff “Pop Pop” and Tracy “Birdy” Zimmeman, also survive.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth F. Knode, his paternal grandmother, Ruth (Wilson) Knode, and one niece, Lianna Knode.
Kenny graduated from Halifax Area High School in 2007. He also attended Harrisburg Area Community College in the HVAC Technology Program.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 6-8 p.m. today, Friday, Nov. 10, and from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at the Cutright Funeral Homes — Smithfield Chapel, 313 Fairgrounds Road, Huntingdon.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. immediately following the visitation with the Rev. Gordy Trimmer officiating. Interment will be private.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Cutright Funeral Homes PC, P.O. Box 594, Huntingdon, PA 16652-0594 to help defray funeral expenses.
