Frances Bower Fisher

Frances Bower Fisher, 76, 396 Nearhoof Lane, Port Matilda, Taylor Township, died at 10:46 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at UPMC Williamsport, Williamsport.

She was the daughter of the late Clarence G. and Edith C. (Baier) Bower Jr. She married Dr. Larry S. Fisher June 13, 2018, in Port Matilda.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her 5 children:

Katherine Visco of Miami, Florida

Rebecca McKeirnan and her husband Ryan of Williamsport, Pennsylvania

Heather Hicks and her husband Paul of Huntingdon

Stephen Fisher and his wife Stephanie of Huntingdon

Stephanie Bucher and her husband Roy of Petersburg

13 siblings, Janet Parker, Dianne Scaff and husband Dan, George, Paul, Steve, Mike, Pat Russell, Eileen Major and husband, Tony, Bernard and wife Pam, Cecile Confair and husband Jeff, Kathleen Cooprider and husband Steve and Philip.

She was preceded in death by two siblings, Rebecca Day and Donald.

Frances retired in 2022 after working for a long number of years as a bookkeeper for Anthony H. Visco Jr. Architects.

She enjoyed kayaking, camping, cooking, baking and reading. She also enjoyed working in her flower gardens.

She graduated from Jersey Shore High School.

Frances had resided at her Port Matilda residence since 2017.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing and visitation from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, April 27, and from 10-11 a.m. Monday, April 28, at the Cutright Funeral Home — Smithfield Chapel. 313 Fairgrounds Road, Huntingdon.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., immediately following the visitation Monday, April 28, with the Rev. Tim Shafer officiating. Interment will be made in the White Church Cemetery, Hesston.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Frances Fisher to Rails to Trails of Central Pennsylvania, P.O. Box 592, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648-0592.
