Ethel Elizabeth Jones

Ethel Elizabeth Jones, 87, 8082 Loop Road, Alexandria, passed away Friday, April 17, 2026, at her sister’s home at 213 Shelton Ave., Alexandria, surrounded by loved ones.

Born Nov. 4, 1938, in Juniata Township, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Kelly) Teeters. She was united in marriage to Ben Issac Jones Sr. April 16, 1966, in the Church of the Nazarene in Petersburg. Mr. Jones preceded her in death Nov. 29, 2021.

Mrs. Jones is survived by a sister, Clara Wertz of Alexandria, and stepchildren Anna Mae Clark of Berlin, Pennsylvania, and Benjamin Jones Jr. of Alexandria, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by brothers Andy and Harry Orville Teeters and sisters Blanche McGeary, Dorothy Briggs and Evelyn Murtiff.

Mrs. Jones was employed by the former Big Yank Corp. of Tyrone as an ironing and pressing technician until it closed

She was a graduate of Juniata Valley High School and had been a resident of Huntingdon County for the past 74 years.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 20, and from 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, until the time of services Tuesday at the Cutright Funeral Homes — Smithfield Chapel 313 Fairgrounds Road, Huntingdon.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with James Foster officiating. Interment will be made in the Alexandria Presbyterian Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Huntingdon County Humane Society, 11371 Schoolhouse Hollow Road, Huntingdon, PA 16652.
