Donna (Strait) Parks — beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend — went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026, just shy of her 86th birthday.
Born April 23, 1940, to the late Kenneth and Edith Strait of McConnellstown, Donna was one of 10 children: Nancy (husband Mal) Rosevear, Barb (husband Woody) Kyper, Ken (wife JoAnn) Strait, Shirley (husband Carl) Young, David (wife Pat) Strait, Denny (wife Jan) Strait, Gary (wife Arlene) Strait, Randy (wife Donna) Strait, Roger (husband Ken) Strait.
She married her “blue-eyed boy,” Dean Parks, 66 years ago at Hawn’s Bridge Community Chapel. They settled and raised their family on Parks Orchard, beginning with children, Steve Parks, Cynthia (husband Jeff) Ross and Rebecca (husband Butch) Woodward.
Donna loved her country lifestyle as a homemaker and farmer, growing and selling fresh fruit and vegetables and fostering relationships with their customers. She cherished walks down the lane, sunsets and sunrises, spring peepers, hoot owls, hummingbirds and fireflies.
Her grandchildren Doug, Casey, Josh, Liza, Mallory and Gavin were the apples of her eye. She especially loved visits from her great-grandchildren, Ava, Koda, Varian, Dominique, Noah, Eli, Maddy, Emeree, Grayson and Bennett.
Donna was a loyal servant to her Christian faith. She attended Hawn’s Bridge Church until its closure, followed by Valley View Alliance Church until her health declined.
She was a proud retiree of Huntingdon Area School District where she served as the head cook.
A visitation will be held at Cutright Funeral Home, 313 Fairgrounds Road, Huntingdon, from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, with a 4 p.m. funeral service to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Huntingdon County Humane Society, 11371 Schoolhouse Hollow Road, Huntingdon, PA, 16652, or Crossroads Pregnancy Center, 424 Washington St., Huntingdon, PA 16652.
