Connie Lou Ritchey, 86, 505 Mount Vernon Ave., Huntingdon, Smithfield Township, at 6:15 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2025, at UPMC Altoona.
Born Dec. 10, 1938, in Huntingdon, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Ralph and Laura Eleanor (Querry) Pannebaker.
She is survived by two children, Jodi L. Anderson and husband, Donald, and Randall L. Ritchey and wife, Shannon, all of Huntingdon; four grandchildren, Bryan C. Anderson, Huntingdon, Eric S. Anderson and wife, Nika, Reno, Nevada, and Ryan Ritchey and Rece C. Ritchey, both of Huntingdon; and two great-grandchildren, Evelina Quinn Anderson and Kaelyn Monroe Anderson of Reno, Nevada. She was very fond of her nieces and nephews, especially Rhonda and Rivan.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Hoover.
Connie retired in 1999 after many years of dedication working as a meat buyer for Fleming Foods in Huntingdon, which was previously Gateway and Reeves Parvin & Co.
She was big supporter of the Huntingdon County Humane Society. She enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Pirates, Duke men’s basketball and Penn State women’s basketball. She also enjoyed flower gardening, bowling and attending the monthly hootenanny at the Stone Creek Valley Lions Barn.
Connie loved attending her grandson’s sporting events and other activities. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.
She graduated from Jack’s Mountain High School.
Connie was a lifetime resident of Huntingdon County and had lived at her Mount Vernon Avenue residence since 1971.
All services will be held privately with the Rev. Ernest D. Dell officiating. Interment will be made in Bowman’s Chapel Cemetery, Cassville.
