In September 1996, the Cutright Funeral Home opened with Robert Kenneth Cutright as the Supervisor, on Fairgrounds Road, Smithfield Township. The current owners are Robert K. and Marjorie E. Cutright and operate as a professional corporation under Huntingdon Funeral Services Partnership.
The building was completely renovated before the September 1996 grand opening and an addition, to house the business office, preparation room, laundry, and garages, was added to the existing building. The renovations included an entrance foyer, an elegant lobby area, two large viewing rooms, a casket selection room, and a cremation selection area. There is also a coffee room with kitchen where families can gather and relax during the viewing and visitation times. Coffee, tea, and cold beverages are provided for families and their guests.
A state of the art sound system is available for our families to use and we have the capabilities for viewing digital imaging.
In 1999, we acquired the former Robert E. Grove Funeral home located in Alexandria and reopened it with the same features as our main location in Smithfield. In May, 2019, after 20 years of serving the families of the Juniata Valley, we closed that facility and now serve those families from our Smithfield location.
We offer a wide range of services to include full service funeral programs, cremation programs, direct burial and many variations from which families may choose.
